Can I cancel my registration?
Due to the nature of the conference, you don’t have to attend to access the sessions. With this in mind, there are no cancellations. The sessions are recorded and you will have access until July 31, 2022.
When do I select my sessions?
There is no need to select your sessions ahead of time. During the conference, you can join the sessions that you are interested in. All sessions will be recorded and you will have access to view until July 31, 2022.
Do I have to be a member to register for conference?
Anyone can attend conference. You don’t have to be a member but you do need to create an account with Ontario Ancestors. Scroll down to find the account registration area.
Is there a discounted rate for students?
In the past at in person conferences, we have offered a specialized student package. Given the format of the virtual conference, we are unable to offer a student package.
How will I access the sessions during conference?
When conference opens, you will be able to access all the sessions from the website. You will need to sign in with your OGS/Ontario Ancestors username and password. If you can login at the Ontario Ancestors website, you will be able to access conference.
Is it possible to register just for MyHeritage Day?
Yes, MyHeritage Day is a special workshop and is not part of the conference registration. You can register just for MyHeritage Day.
Will the MyHeritage Day workshop be recorded?
Yes, MyHeritage Day will be recorded and made available to workshop registrants until July 31, 2022.
How can I download the schedule?
There is a download button available from the schedule page on the website.
How long after the conference can I access the recordings?
All conference sessions will be recorded and made available until July 31, 2022.
How do I find my microphone and webcam on my iPad?
A separate Zoom Help page has been created which has some helpful videos and a few tips. However, please test these well before the session starts as the moderator will not be able to help you during the session. Keep in mind the session will be recorded, so it may be a little embarrassing for you if you’re trying to get help!
