Linda Corupe, U.E.

The author of over 50 books, Linda Corupe, U.E., has been researching genealogy and family histories for more than 40 years. Her publications are invaluable resources for anyone researching the early years of Upper Canada. Among the most notable of her works are the “Upper Canadian Justice” series, annotated transcriptions of the Assize Court records from all areas of the province, now completed from 1793 to 1831, and the “From Settler to Land Owner” series, which are the records of the First Heir and Devisee Commissions for all Upper Canadian districts, detailing land claims filed from 1797 to 1804, and containing many Loyalist names. She is currently working on transcriptions and annotations of the surviving bastardy oaths of the province, and also on the next volume of Upper Canadian Justice. Linda is a member of the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada, the Ontario Genealogical Society and the Ontario Historical Society.
